The Intermediate course has been developed to provide more in-depth training for food handlers as part of their ongoing training.

The course covers the following topics:

Ideally, the trainee should undertake the course within the first six months of commencing work. The course reinforces the introduction into food safety course and develops the concept of Hazard Analysis and the Design of Food Premises.

The test at the end of the course is to assess the trainees understanding of the concepts rather than their academic ability.

The free demo test should be taken prior to the Stage 2 test to give applicants confidence.
